Freedom Programme

A couple of hours that could change your life...

Or at least it can make a start to change things for the better. The Freedom Programme is a 12 week rolling programme conducted in a safe, supportive and friendly environment.  There is a different session every week and in each session we examine the beliefs and attitudes of those people who choose to use abusive behaviours. We will help you to make sense of what you have experienced and gain the knowledge and understanding to help protect you and your family.
It's not all about the negative, we also look at how an equal partner behaves, how children are affected and much much more.
It's not always easy to talk about these things but we try to make it as informal as possible and we do have a laugh along the way. It is always a bit scary thinking about anything new so perhaps it would be better to let someone who has done the programme tell you more.

When Freedom was suggested to me I absolutely didn’t want to do it. Things were really hard for me, my kids had a social worker, my mum kept telling me to sort myself out. I really didn’t know where to turn. I was terrified the first time I went but everyone was friendly from the start. I’ve learned so much it’s not true. I used to think it was all my fault and that if I just did things better or faster or whatever, then my partner would be happy. Truth is he never was. Everything has changed now, I am getting on with my life and my kids are much happier. I’m so glad I came to Freedom. Everyone should do it!
